We wanted to say a quick thank you to our latest supporters of our Kickstarter campaign. You guys are helping make a brewery in Plymouth, Indiana by supporting Black Sail. Thanks for your contributions and backing. We'd love if you'd help us spread the word and get one step closer to opening our taproom in 2015. Cheers to you guys!
We're just getting warmed up, so make sure you're following us, too. Cheers!
By backing our taproom campaign on Kickstarter, you can get some great perks in return. Want a couple Black Sail Brewing Company pint glasses? How about a t-shirt? Or maybe you want the exclusive BSBC Founder's Growler, along with an invite to the special Kickstarter Founder's Party after we open.
We recently partnered with the Earthworks Market for their annual Farm to Fork fundraiser dinner. The Earthworks Market is a local non-profit organization helping promote sustainability in farming and agriculture.
Hey, guys. It's been quite a year so far here at Black Sail Brewing Company. We've had a great time brewing our beers, experimenting with recipes, and getting to know some of you all.
We wanted to take a minute to update you on what's been going on behind the scenes and let you know where we're headed.
Hey, guys. Josh here! If you're reading this, it is a good indicator you're interested in beer. To that, I say "cheers"!
Over the last few months, I've been talking with a lot of people about craft beer. When I get to talking to someone about beer who normally drinks one of the light lagers, they are suprised at all that goes into making a well-crafted beer and what can be done to make it even better. Many people don't realize what their beer is made of. They say you are what you eat, though I say you are what you drink. Why not drink well-crafted, high-quality beer?
In this five-part series, we will touch on the main ingredients that go into beer: water, grains, hops, and yeast. The final post will be a wrap-up post discussing serving temperatures, glassware, and more.
Grab your favorite craft beer, sit down, and read along! The first post on water will be up on Monday, April 14th!
